Vitamin D The "Sunshine Vitamin" Print E-mail
12Vitamin D has always been known to help increase blood calcium levels and therefore help with our bones.  However, these days we are finding out that it does so much more.   Vitamin D acts more like a prehormone  & is highly involved in the immune system.Living in Arizona you would think we get plenty of that sunshine vitamin.  However, Vitamin D deficiency is a common occurrence.  This is mainly because of decreased sun exposure, sunscreen use & deficiency in our diets.

Vitamin D deficiency is associated with cancer, heart disease, depression, hypertension, autoimmune disease, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and so much more.

So, the question is ...What does your Vitamin D level look like and could it be effecting your health?
